President and Co Founder
Michael Cadotte is a Co-Founder and President of MDM.
With over 20 years of experience in energy marketing, brokering and business development, Michael has built a reputation as a trusted leader in the energy sector. His expertise in navigating complex market dynamics and delivering tailored strategies has driven success for clients seeking to meet evolving environmental and business goals.
Michael holds an Honours Degree in Business from the University of Windsor, where he developed the strategic and analytical skills that underpin his leadership approach. At MDM Carbon Advisors, he is committed to helping businesses achieve sustainable growth through forward-thinking carbon strategies and market-driven solutions.
Dereck
VP Commercial and Co Founder
Dereck Francis is a Co-Founder and Vice President Commercial of MDM.
With
over 30 years of energy experience Dereck’s primary focus will be to
provide advisory, brokering, and marketing services to commercial and
large industrial clients enabling them to meet their decarbonization
goals and compliance obligations (CFR, OBPS, EPS, WCI).
Dereck's
expertise spans natural gas and power procurement, storage and
transportation optimization, regulatory and government relations. He has
served for several years on the Boards of Directors for both the
Association of Major Power Consumers of Ontario (AMPCO) and the
Industrial Gas Users Association (IGUA), Chairing IGUA from 2019 to
2023. Dereck holds a degree in Accounting and Finance from Toronto
Metropolitan University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant
(CPA).
Monique
VP Carbon Solutions and Co Founder
Monique Norbert is a Co-Founder and Vice President of Carbon Solutions of MDM.
Monique
Nobert recently retired from a rewarding career with a prominent
Canadian integrated energy company. She brings a wealth of knowledge of
the crude oil refining supply and trading sector, as well as extensive
experience in both regulatory and voluntary carbon credit markets.
Monique
is adept at navigating the complexities and nuances of various carbon
credit programs, making her well-equipped to handle the ever-evolving
landscape of energy, clean fuels, and greenhouse gas climate
programs/policies. Her expertise reflects her passion for promoting
sustainable practices and sharing insightful solutions to empower those
organizations aiming to implement meaningful climate change
actions. Being fluent in both English and French, enables her to
engage and communicate to further enhance her professional interactions.
Monique graduated with an executive MBA from Queens University and a
B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta.
